P.O.D. and crew have returned from Europe over the weekend 
after two grueling weeks of press and promotion.

Average daily sleep - 2 hours

Many thanks to our European Warriors for your support and
loyalty... YOU made this the best trip to Europe yet!

Here's some highlights....

On Oct 12th, P.O.D. arrived in London for two days 
of press and a "guerilla" show at The Garage.

P.O.D. drove around doing press.....



Truby at a local record store, picking up an old 
Wes Montgomery record and being filmed for t.v....



Oct 15th.... now in Madrid, Spain for a another 
"guerilla" show.  Spain was awesome!



Wuv on guitar during sound check...



The next morning (Oct. 16th) P.O.D. flew to Cologne, 
Germany... got off the plane, and performed LIVE on 
Top of The Pops.

Afterwards, P.O.D. met some Warriors before they
headed back to the airport for Stockholm, Sweden.

(Yes, three countries in 24 hours!)



Oct 17 & 18th - Stockholm, Sweden

After a day PACKED with press, P.O.D. hosted a special 
listening party for their Warriors at the Hard Rock that 
night.

Later that night P.O.D. hooked up with the blindside
boys for dinner and to hear songs from their new album!



Oct 19th... P.O.D. arrive in Manchester, UK to headline 
the "MTV Road To Edinburgh" show and to tape "MTV Live."




Many of our Warriors have already seen these special 
P.O.D. performances... The Uk, Germany, France, Holland, 
Italy, Portugal, Nordic, Spain, Romania, and Poland!!

Oct. 20th... P.O.D. fly to Hamburg, Germany for
Press and a remarkable performance on the ship,
Cap San Diego.

Oct. 22nd... P.O.D. fly to Cologne, Germany for a
"guerilla" show @ Siegerlandhalle... a 2000 capacity
club.

During sound check, 3 foot x 3 foot sections of the ceiling 
crash to the stage and floor area destroying equipment and
causing German authorities to cancel the show.

The kids revolt and P.O.D. decide to stay in Germany an 
extra day to make up the show.

The show is moved to the the Oberhausen Arena...
and the event turns into a media frenzy... all over t.v.,
radio, and the cover of every newspaper.

Oct. 23rd... The NEXT morning - 4000 tickets move in ONE hour!

Over 10,000 kids rally behind P.O.D. and fill the Oberhausen
Arena in less than 24 hours!!

Oct 24th... P.O.D. travel to Milan, Italy for their last day 
of Press.  As soon as P.O.D. arrived at the airport they were
handed mobile phones to begin phone interviews...

Sonny and Wuv have family from Italy... our Italian

Can you believe it??  We are now just ONE week away from 
PAYABLE ON DEATH!!  (Tuesday, Nov. 4th)

NEVER BEFORE has an artist released a record like this... the video 
game, the art cards, the lifestyle movie, etc... it's ALL going to make 
sense to you on Nov. 4th.



YOU ARE GOING TO BE BLOWN AWAY BY IT ALL.

The Wallstreet Journal, USA Today, and the New York Times 
have all taken notice to this groundbreaking record.  Not to mention 
the music trades... Billboard (Cover), MTV, etc.

With so many artists concerned about music piracy, P.O.D. are not
suing people and arguing, they are simply offering their fans THE 
BEST.  They have pushed past, way past, the boundaries of what
artists can offer their fans.  You can't stop stealing... this is for each 
person to deal with.  It all comes around in the end.

If you knew what the guys have been through to deliver this record
to you with such conviction and innovation, you'd be amazed.

This album is VERY different from anything P.O.D. have done.  It's a major 
step forward.  When the Chili Peppers went from the zany rap-rock of "
Give it Away" into "Californication" people freaked out.  It turned out to be 
their biggest seller EVER. 

Or how about U2's latest record "All that you can't leave behind"... this 
came AFTER the "Pop" album! 

Once you pick up the cd, open up the package, and feel what the guys 
did, you are going to be blown away.  It's a remarkable record... it will 
move you like nothing P.O.D. have done before... but it may not be a first 
listen album for you.

Ian Robinson at MTV told the guys that this is their 'heaviest record yet... 
the tones, the feel, everything about it is heavier and darker.'  but it's 
outside of the box... Truby wanted to bring a fresh, innovative approach 
to heavy music... from the chords he used to experimenting with conflict
in sounds.  The guys have been calling it "heavy/beautiful."

 

From the production to the mix, the band went for RAW takes... without 
tons of effects and millions of guitars and overdubs.  It's urgent, right there 
in your face. 

Even their mixer choice (rich costey) was because they wanted a more 
organic sound for this record.  rich did system of a down, audioslave, and 
the new chili peppers. 

The best albums are NOT immediate.  This record is going to stretch you 
and push the warrior movement into the next phase.  To do "Satellite" over 
again, or any other record for that matter, would have been a mistake.  It's
time for a fresh, new start on ALL levels. 

The great career artists TAKE RISKS.

We know that the WARRIORS FORUMS have been down...
Atlantic Records report that the the amount of Warriors on
the boards has crashed the boards.  Engineers are working 
on the problem NOW and we expect them back up today.
It is likely the boards will move to their OWN server to handle
the volume... crazy.

Against all odds, "PAYABLE ON DEATH" is expected to be certified GOLD 
by the RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) and is picking up 
steam towards Platinum.

Atlantic Records announced today that PAYABLE ON DEATH will make
a huge sales jump this week.

"We believed that there would be a nice holiday bump this week, but
we did not expect such a massive jump back into the sales charts.  

PAYABLE ON DEATH is the record that people will remember as their
most significant career move.  This record is special... not a first listen
album, but then it defies all moving into Gold and Platinum sales.  It's 
incredible to see the kids discovering it."

The RIAA requires one month after release to certify Gold or Platinum.

There were 27,000 releases in 2003 
95% of all cd sales in 2003 were under 10,000

85% of all Christian bookstores announced that they would 
not allow kids to buy PAYABLE ON DEATH at their stores.....

You might remember back on "The Fundamental Elements
of Southtown" many Christian book stores refused to carry
this record because they felt the cover was too "controversial."

In attempts to work with these stores, the band agreed to let
them carry a blacked out version.

As the record started to sell big #'s most stores begged to have 
the original version back and we failed to understand what their
motives really were.

Now here we are again....

Before PAYABLE ON DEATH was even released on 11/14, 
85% of all Christian bookstores announced that they would 
not allow kids to buy PAYABLE ON DEATH at their stores.....

This is sad... not because P.O.D. need to be carried in those stores
but because for thousands of years the church LED the world 
in great art and music... provocative art that moved and 
inspired people... art that is STILL relevant today.

Now.... Before a few thousand Warriors run out and torch your local 
Christian bookstore, we want you to know that P.O.D. love these kind 
of stores and are happy when anyone carries their records.  There are 
also many people that work at these stores that are supporters of P.O.D.

If you shop at a Christian store that carries PAYABLE ON DEATH,
support them, otherwise stay far away... Sales in mainstream stores
make a far bigger impact.

This year the boys had opportunities to do interviews with HM and 
Relevant Magazines.  And this Summer, they are making an exclusive 
appearance at Cornerstone Festival.  Their continued love and support 
goes out to all in the Gospel music world that support them.

Over the years, "INFOMAN" has brought you news and information 
about P.O.D. and the Warrior movement around the world.

As most of you know, INFOMAN is a character designed to deliver
news in a fun and hyped up way.  INFOMAN is not real.  (except in
the minds of a few remote cults who fear him as a god)

We've had a great time with this list and it's grown in numbers to the 
largest on Atlantic Records and second to only Metallica in all of Warner 
Music.

In addition to INFOMAN providing you with P.O.D. news and inside
information, we are going to step it up to provide you with books, 
movies, and other commentary we think you might enjoy.

As we've said before, we need to be out there supporting anything and
everything that propels the Warrior movement forward.  That includes
movies, books, news pieces, etc... you get the idea.

This time around we would like to suggest a couple of things to you.
One, you MUST get "Roaring Lambs" by Bob Briner.  This is essential 
reading.



Secondly, and the reason why you are receiving this, is so we can recommend
a book by Mark Solomon called,"Simplicity."  Some of you know Mark as the 
lead singer of stavesacre.  Mark is a long time friend of ours.  We caught up with
him recently and he passed out copies of his book to us.

Sonny has been reading it and wanted all of you to know about it.

Mark has always had our backs.  Over the years, from his start in The Crucified 
to Stavesacre, he has experienced it all... "Simplicity" is the uncensored journey.
 Mark's courage and inspiration played a big part in paving a trail for P.O.D. and 
for those that work with them.

Happy New Year to all of you...

The P.O.D./Linkin Park tour is underway and as you've figured out
by now ALL shows are selling out.  (D.C. sold out in 15 minutes!)

Here's what's been going on with the boys...

On Thursday, P.O.D. completed their last day of rehearsals at the
Patriot Center in Fairfax, VA.



Later that day the boys accepted an invitation from The White 
House to stop by and meet with White House staff.  (Yes, P.O.D.
were actually invited to the White House)

They took a rare tour of the White House and the Capital buildings.

Seen here are Sonny, Traa, and Truby clearing security and entering
the gates of the White House.  (Wuv is behind Sonny, but you can't see
him)





The boys had some fun taking the secret underground train system 
as they headed to the capital.  (We're not supposed to have this
picture!)



Then, that night it was time to destroy the Patriot Center.... Sonny
is seen here being escorted to the stage as the intro rolls...



You do not know P.O.D. until you see them live on this tour...



P.O.D. built their reputation as a live band and if you've seen this
tour, you've seen P.O.D. take their performance and show to the
NEXT LEVEL!  This is P.O.D. at their finest....

This year, P.O.D. will be touring all year... Currently, they 
are discussing a headline U.S. tour in April/May!  (finally!!)
