Will You love me tomorrow? Will You stay with me today?
Will You be here tomorrow? Will You remember yesterday?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A lot of you don’t know where I'm from, so I'll just say it was a four hour
drive. I was supposed
to be there at 3, but unfortunately caught some highway repair on the way.
Man I guess the time
couldn’t have gone by fast enough to get there.
I was so excited from the moment I was invited.
It gave me and my mom a chance to talk about things and just thank the Lord I
was able to go. Well
we found the place and as we drove up I got even more excited.
My mom drove to where they were
shooting the video, dropped me off and left me with the Warriors Klan Family.
I had been waiting for
so long to meet all of my Warrior Klan Family in person. She had to go back and
park the car. The Warriors
took me over to the actual set and on the way Jason was walking by, so I
didn’t really noticed him ‘til one
of the Warriors yelled out his name and he walked right over to us.
I was introduced to him, and I was
totally stoked. He is an awesome guy, very
friendly and down to earth. (I expected nothing more really)
He was told I was one of P.O.D.'s biggest fans, he smiled and was like “Right
on." We talked
about
my guitar playing and what kind of guitars we used for a little bit then he was
pulled away back to work.
I then went over and looked at the set, it was awesome.
Looking at the drums and the equipment
was so exciting. We went towards a tent
they had for the guys for shade where they could rest
between shots and there was Traa on a cell phone. And Wuv was there signing autographs. It was
great to see them both. Wuv then
went back to the set to play a scene on the drums.
It was awesome
watching Wuv , he puts everything he’s got into playing them.
He gives it his all to make a great video.
As I was watching Wuv on the drums, Traa
finished his phone conversation and walked over to say Hi.,
how you doing? He shook my hand and was
friendly and a cool guy. It was awesome to
watch him during
the video shoot cause he plays the base with a lot of energy.
After I met Traa, I watched them shoot some
scenes from the video and all the work that is put into making them.
The whole crew is so busy, running
back and fourth setting the stuff up and watching the guys rock on the set.
Guess we don’t really realize
how much work it is until you see it first hand.
As I was watching the video shoots, my mom got back
from parking the car. We were both in awe
of all the excitement.
Just then the shoot of Wuv ended and
as he was going to take a break, came over to us and
said Hi. He was such a loving person, he
hugged me and shook my mom’s hand. It
was great
to talk to him, he stayed a little while and was asking how I was.
We talked a little about the
guitar I use. I know he has some mad
guitar skills besides the passion he has for drums.
He looked
tired from working so hard all day, a little sunburned too.
Ouch! But he kept on beating the
drums
as if he was just starting the day. He
really rocks! So it was back to shooting
the video, I just watched
in amazement at the energy and hard work the guys were doing.
We kinda went back and fourth watching
the guys take different shots. Everyone
was really cool and nice offering us something to eat or drink.
But I was just so caught up with what was going on that food or drink was the
last thing on my mind.

I think the height of the evening was when I caught sight of Sonny as he was
walking to the set,
ready to do a shot of the video. He was
doing a shot solo, as I watched him sing and
move to the
lyrics and music, I was overwhelmed. It
has been something I wanted to see for so long. When
he
finished I was smiling and he came over to say Hello.
He came up to me, gave me a hug and said
'Hi Johnny. It's nice to meet you'
That was the biggest moment for me, something I had prayed for.
He asked how long it took for me to get here, and when
he heard four hours, he said 'Dang!' I was
like
yeah dude. We both smiled.
He shook my moms hand and said hello to her too very politely.
She told
him, your such an inspiration to my son, cause she is a Christian and thinks
very highly of people who are
a positive influence for young people. He
replied, oh you don’t even have to go there. He
is genuine,
humble and a real down to earth guy. I
knew he was that kind of person, which only makes him all
the more meaningful to me. As we were
talking, our warrior family decided to take some pics., which
I was happy to take. As I looked at all
the people who were there, I recognized another guy I admire.
It was RedCloud. I got to meet him too and take a pic with him.
He was so cool . So the guys
were off again to continue with the video and finish up for the day.
Man these guys go through a lot to make a video, it is hard work.
Repeats of shoots, man made sand storms.
Wow I didn’t realize all that goes into a video shoot.
It makes me appreciate what the guys do even
more now. And the crew is awesome, they
work really hard and the support they give to make this video
great. My hat goes off to each and every
one of them. After it was all over,
I was standing with my
Warrior Family, getting ready to go home. The
guys finished up and took some time to say good bye to us.
They thanked us for being there and shook each member’s hand.
It was a great way to end the day. I
even
got to meet Tim Cook, I was shocked and happy to meet him. A very nice guy. On the way home, my mom
and I talked all about the day. We
both thank God for this opportunity. It
made me feel good to
see how these guys are just like us. We
are truly a Warrior Family for sure.

It was September 17th, and it was a nice day in a remote area in Long Beach,
one I would never forget. Thanks to my Warrior Klan Familia, I got the opportunity
to go to the “Will You” video shoot, and I quickly accepted the invitation. When
Matthew & I arrived at the location the process was well underway, so we
quickly ran to the sight of shooting like crazed teenage girls mobbing the Beatles.
Dodging techs and equipment, I was just about there when all of the suddenly
I get pushed to the ground from behind! Falling face first into the dirt as
Matthew runs past and gives an echoing “HA sucka!”
I got back onto my feet, and quickly made my way to where they were performing.
I could hear the album version of "Will You" blasting on the speakers, it was
insane! What
a way to experience this song for the first time other than seeing your favorite band performing
right in front of your eyes! I was brought to tears, well manly tears that is…ah well I had
something in my eye! You guys don’t know how hard it is for the guys to shoot these
videos, takes over and over again, very tiring stuff. They only want the best for the
warriors though, so they were determined to make this video the best they possibly
could. Like everyone who has heard it is saying, this song pushes boundaries, and
sets a new level for the band, definitely career artist. During the shoot I heard the
song back to back for over 3 hours, and I never got tired of it, it is just a truly
magnificent song. It was very cool to see the chemistry between the guys, and
Jason is definitely part of the familia now. The whole atmosphere was
just great, everyone just made me, and others feel welcomed.
The highlight of the evening was when Johnny came to the shoot. I've known and talked
to Johnny for a while now online, but never got the chance to meet him in person
until now. He's a joy to be around, and witnessing his joy and his excitement over
being
at the shoot was just a blessing. We took Johnny to meet the guys one by one, and it
was a special moment when he met Sonny. Sonny immediately went to Johnny, and
started a conversation with one of his biggest fans. A prime example that P.O.D.
are real, what you see is what you get, truly caring individuals.
It seems the video for "Will You" will follow the same path as their groundbreaking
hit "Alive", in that it features a storyline mixed in with their powerful performance.
No word on specifics at the moment concerning that storyline, since that's gonna
be shot at another time and place, but we got to see the good stuff up close and personal.
Now, I'm not gonna give away too much, but it takes place in an oil field. Which of
course means a lot of dirt and dust as you can tell from the image below, when they
created their own little sandstorm! That's real dirt flying at them as they perform, no
"We'll add it in later" stuff here. I can feel this is gonna transfer beautifully to film!
This video, like the song, is pushing the band to another level,
It's something else, and is sure to touch people’s hearts.

The shoot didn’t end till later that night, and before all the guys left they came over
and shook our hands, expressing their happiness that we could be at the shoot. I was
talking to Red Cloud and he called Sonny over to take a look at a few of my drawings,
he said he loved them, and thanked me for all the support, that defiantly made my day.
They love all their warriors, for staying true and sticking by their sides. The time is here
as we find ourselves ready to promote the new album, we have to prove to the world
that P.O.D. and the warriors are for real, and no joke. As we were getting ready to
leave Matthew challenged me to a wusabi bean-eating contest, much to say we both
came out the losers. We passed out over the intense flaming hotness of the wusabi
beans, and the Warrior Klan crew quickly carted us off to a local hospital. We didn’t
care though, nothing could have ruined that day
Big props to my fellow familia at Warrior Klan, P.O.D.
and crew, Red Cloud, and filming crew.
Your fellow Warrior,
Josh (keeponlookingup)
Note from Matthew: Josh may have
been hallucinating
a bit due to the heat as far as yours truly is concerned ;)
